Summary | We compared the in situ immune responses in tissues from a COVID-19/HIV co-infected decedent to three COVID-19 decedents and found that the reduced T cell response in non-pulmonary tissue resulted in a compensatory myeloid response that may lower the risk of COVID-19 disease progression. |
